'Happy Birthday' Singing in the Spring

You can cut all the flowers but you can not stop Spring from coming. This post is for all those who work hard to make their dreams come true but if it does not then don't get disheartened...create your own benchmark...be proud of your creative work...don't let it get judged by others...if they don't value your worth that does not mean you are not good in your field. The decisions taken are surely based on their own vested interests and reasons which only they know. Don't get demotivated ever , never allow anyone to rob you off your confidence, never doubt your creative skilks that God has blessed you with. It’s a beautiful world..when God closes one door He definitely opens another one which surely leads to a better path..you just need to stop gazing at the closed door…move ahead to explore the beauty the new untravelled path has in store for you. I thank my family,my friends for their love and support for my crafting passion…I will never let it get dampened by any person, any company or any situation.
Have already started walking towards a new beginning, leaving behind the closed doors forever… with heads up and a smile I welcome the season of Springs which is treading softly, spreading around the fragrance of its beautiful blooms. Singing the songs of spring...one of my heartfelt creations submissions..…

This one card has four different looks to it….do check it out and leave some love…

Instructions :
The ready top folded card size is 12 “ by 6”. For that take a card stock of size 12” by 12’’ and score and fold at 6” from top side, so it stands like a self easel. Take a black cardstock and cut it to size of 11.5 “ by 5.5”. Cut the design paper from Singing in the Rain collection that has a garden bench.Cut it to mat over the black cardstock leaving 1/16th “ on all four sides so that the black border line shows on the sides and its base. Glue it over on it. On the longer top side using the Fleur Border Basic die cut a wave like pattern. Since the paper is longer than the die, pass it twice placing and co ordinating the die with the previous cut . Cut two designs from Fleur Border Basics die again using black cardstock to form a lace like pattern on its edge.Glue it over its top edge. Now adhere double sided tacky tape strip on left, right and bottom side of this 3 layer mat leaving the top side as it will form a pocket on top when adhered on the top folded card base.
Stamp the two fairy images with Versafine Onyx Black Ink from Songs of Spring and Singing in the Rain stamp sets and cut with the co ordinating dies. Color them up using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Cut one extra lower portion of the fairy’s skirt and adhere on its top to give 3 D effect to its dress. Apply clear dry glue and sprinkle the Crystal Clear glitter over the wings and skirts of the fairy images. Using Foam Glue Dots ,adhere the fairy images on the bench and on the left lower corner of the bench. Stamp and die cut the bird and adhere it over her hand.Next to her boots ,adhere the mushroom images stamped and die cut from Wildwood Cottage Darlings stamps and dies.
Die cut a black cardstock with Eyelet Oval and Basics Large Die. Die cut the Happy Birthday Sentiment from Love Collection design paper using Eyelet Oval and basics Small die. Mat it over black die cut. Using double sided foam tape, adhere it on the slightly off the centre towards right side.
Stamp the Sweet as Honey fence with Versafine black ink,die cut with the co ordinating die, colour it with Zig Clean Color Markers. Make two of these fences. Adhere them overlapping these to make a longer fence.Adhere them to the right lower base of the card using foam glue dots. Stamp, color and diecut a bird from Songs of Spring and adhere on the fence.
Stamp, color with Zig Clean Color Markers and diecut two Umbrella images from Songs of Spring stamps n die sets. Cut off the umbrella stick. Reverse the position of the umbrella upside down, glue the two umbrellas at its concave edges and give it a 3D shape as that of like a boat or basket. Adhere the birds on its top with some flowers around it. Apply clear glue and sprinkle Crystal Clear glitter over it. Glue the plain umbrella stick in its middle using Glue Gun so that it stays firmly in the centre . Adhere some stamped and diecut flowers over it.Now adhere this 3D umbrella over the fence in slightly tilted position as seen in the card.
Stamp and die cut flowers using Enchanted Mums,Classic Petunia,Arianna Blooms and Window Box Fillers flowers. Use daubers to color these. Color the Enchanted Mums with Archival Inks’ Pale Ochre,Tea Rose and Venetian Orange. Color Arianna Blooms with Archival Inks’ Aquamarine,Leaf Green and Forest Moss Distress Ink. Color Classic Petunia with Archival Inks’ Magenta Hue and Pink Peony. Spray some water over the diecuts of flowers to loosen and soften the fibres of the paper. Shape them up using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Glue them up in layers and pierce a hole in the flower centre. Insert the pollens in the centre holes. Apply clear glue and sprinkle Crystal Clear Glitter over the flowers. Stamp and diecut the leaves from Window Box Filler stamp and die set and Cut Mat Create 2A die. Color these with Archival Inks’ Leaf Green and Fern Green. Shape them up using Flower Shaping kit.Apply clear glue and sprinkle glitter. Arrange and adhere these all using glue gun as shown in the card. Adhere some loose twisted and curled pollens around the flowers. For the card pocket that opens at top I have created two options which will give a complete different look to the card and utility too. The first insert is in shape of a purse with a handle on top. To create this, take a black cardstock measuring 8.5” by 6.5””. Place Eyelet Oval Die on the black cardstock on the longer side leaving an half inch space from top ,cutting halfway through the diecutting machine till 2.34”. Cut a design paper measuring 4”by 8” and mat over black cardstock starting from the base ,leaving 1/16” from 3 sides.  Now place the Eyelet Oval plain die covering the half oval hollow and the solid part of the lower matted base. Run it through die cutting machine completely. This will form the Oval handle of the purse. Cut  2 more Eyelet Ovals and stick it in front and back of the Oval so that it makes the handle more sturdy. Apply clear glue and sprinkle Crystal Clear glitter over it. Adhere a pearl string on the half top oval. This can be slid in the pocket from top with a message written on its lower base.
Second optional Insert is cut with the Eyelet Circle and Basics Small die. Die cut the white cardstock with  the Festive Holiday  Die and adhere on the top of the green die cut circle. This makes a tag where message can be written and it can slide in the pocket too.
For the inside of the card, cut two black cardstocks smaller by 1/8th “ on all four sides from the card base. Cut the design paper from Birds and Bloom paper collection and cut it smaller by 1/8th” to mat on the black cardstock. Now adhere these on the inside of the card on top and lower base. This makes the card more sturdy and beautiful from inside also. Stamp, color with Zig Clean Color markers and die cut the fence using Sweet as Honey stamp and die sets and adhere on the lower left side . Apply glue on the left and bottom side of the fence ,so that it creates provision as pocket to slide in tags and bigger note cards also. Die cut a tag from Singing in the Rain design paper using Lugguage and Tags die.
The card is ready to wish its receiver a very Happy Birthday singing in the spring !
